Instructions for the Worship Audio Feed for our Sick and Shut-ins
In the interest of helping our sick and shut-ins partake of some of the blessings of corporate worship, we've found and set up an inexpensive and seemingly fool-proof way to give people the opportunity to listen in to worship services in real time by phone or Skype (It's set up as a one-way broadcast, so don't worry about us hearing, say, your child asking for a drink). It's not the same as gathering together for worship, but this may well be a valuable option for every one of us at some point, and furthermore one we didn't have before.
The service provider charges 1 cent/minute for every call via a local number or Skype or 2.9 cents/minute for every call via a toll-free number, so we won't use it unless needed. Consequently, if you need it, let Pastor Davelaar know, and we'll use it on a given Sunday. Call or text me on Sunday morning, I'll give you the phone number and Conference ID code (so that you don't have to save them if you don't want to), and we'll be ready to go!

Skype AccessThere are several ways to enter the broadcast using Skype:
After the welcome greeting, you will be prompted to enter the Conference ID code. You will need to activate the Dial Pad to enter the code. (Depending on the version of your Skype software, you may need to click on “Call” in the top menu, then choose the “Show Dial Pad” option.) |
