This Sunday we focused on our attention on what happened after the tumultuous events of Jonah 1, listening specifically to Jonah 1:17-2:10, where we hear that salvation belongs to the LORD, who delivers sinners like Jonah not merely from death, but also from their sinful course, on account of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ his Son.

We began by focusing on Jonah 1, with its message that Jonah fled from the presence of the LORD, even to the point of death, but the LORD is greater than Jonah, both in might and mercy, as we see even more clearly today in Jesus Christ his Son.
