Rev. Don Erwin (Pastor Emeritus)
Originally from Texas, Don served as the organizing pastor of Covenant Presbyterian from 1999-2013. Prior to that he and his wife lived in Nigeria, serving as missionaries with SIM. Most recently he ministered as a chaplain with Arkansas Hospice, from which he retired in 2019. He continued to be an active part of Covenant Presbyterian during that time, and he is currently assisting the ruling elders part-time with preaching, pastoral care, and administration while the congregation searches for a new pastor. He and his wife Jacqueline have three married children and three grandchildren.
Mr. Leonel Cantu (ruling elder)
Leo and his family joined Covenant Presbyterian in 2011, and he began serving as a ruling elder in 2013. He graduated from the University of the Ozarks in 1999 with a degree in Marketing and Management and from Arkansas Tech three years later with a Master of Information Science degree. Leo is employed by Regions Bank. He and his wife Rachael have three children: Luke, Micah, and Ella.
Mr. Matt Young (ruling elder)
Matt has been a member of Covenant Presbyterian since 2007, and began serving as a ruling elder in 2016. He is a graduate of Wheaton College and the University of Arkansas, and has been serving as an English teacher at Russellville High School since 2011. He, his wife Cathy, and their three children live in Russellville.
